$3.2 Million Grant Received to Study Childhood Severe Obesity Interventions

Dr. Claudia Fox, Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepataology, and Nutrition, has been awarded a five-year National Institutes of Health (NIH) grant for $3.2 million to study treatments for severe obesity in adolescents. Dr. Fox, the co-Director of the Center for Pediatric Obesity Medicine, and her team will aim to determine the best time to start anti-obesity medications as well as examine factors that may guide which medication should be used.  Read more about Dr. Fox's new award.
