204 University of Minnesota Medical School Physicians Named to Minnesota Monthly’s 2025 Top Doctors List

The University of Minnesota Medical School celebrates its physicians recognized by Minnesota Monthly for their outstanding patient care, research, and teaching.

Minnesota Monthly Magazine has recognized 204 University of Minnesota Medical School physicians on its 2025 list of Top Doctors, representing 66 specialties.

Each year, Minnesota Monthly identifies the state’s leading doctors based on insight from those who know medicine best: physicians themselves. Doctors across Minnesota nominate up to three peers in each specialty when asked, “If you or a loved one needed medical care, which doctor would you recommend?” The most-nominated individuals in each specialty earn a place on the annual list.

“Being named to this list reflects our faculty physicians’ unwavering commitment to exceptional patient care, innovative research, and the education of future physicians,” said Medical School Dean Jakub Tolar, MD, PhD. “Their dedication strengthens our mission to improve health and well-being for all Minnesotans.”

This recognition highlights the Medical School’s dual role in providing outstanding care to patients across the state while training the next generation of Minnesota’s physicians.
