Bio
Dr. Hammer Burns is the Director of Counseling Services at Reproductive Medicine Center. Her practice is primarily women's health psychology with special interest in reproductive health, perinatology, and sexuality.
Dr. Hammer Burns received a master's degree in counseling psychology at the University of St. Thomas in 1983 and a doctorate in family social science from the University of Minnesota in 1989. She is the co-author of Miscarriage: A Shattered Dream a book for consumers. In addition, she is co-editor of the only textbook for professionals on reproductive health counseling, Infertility Counseling: A Comprehensive Handbook for Clinicians, now in its second edition.

Dr. Leah Henke completed both her medical degree and residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Minnesota. Her clinical interests include global women’s health, advocacy for equitable care, minimally invasive surgery, integrative care and health education. In her free time, she enjoys running, cooking, yoga, supporting the creative arts and exploring the outdoors.
Research Summary
Dr. Henke’s research interests include projects partnering with colleagues in low-income countries, quality improvement and patient experience, and improving access to care and outcomes for immigrant and refugee women.

Dr. Hoffman received her medical degree from the George Washington University School of Medicine in Washington, DC. She completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities.

Dr. Hutto received her M.P.H. from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and went on to complete her M.D. at Wayne State University in Detroit, MI. She completed her residency at the University of Minnesota, where she was elected Chief Resident. She is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Dr. Jones received her MD from the Medical College of Wisconsin, Milwaukee. She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology and fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine at the University of Vermont College of Medicine in Burlington, VT. Prior to her new appointment in Minnesota, she was a faculty member at the Medical College of Wisconsin, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Jones holds numerous leadership and advisory positions related to her care of women with substance use disorder in pregnancy.

Dr. Landers is the Executive Vice Chair of the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Women's Health and is the Director of the Maternal-Fetal Medicine Division. He also serves as the Physician Chief of the Women's and Children's Service Line for M Health Fairview. Dr. Landers is a fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and former Board Examiner with the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Landers is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology and maternal-fetal medicine and is a nationally recognized expert in Maternal-Fetal Medicine and in Reproductive Infectious Diseases.

Dr. Mattson believes in delivering comprehensive and patient-centered care to women with cancer. She hopes to provide education and compassion to all women dealing with the difficult diagnosis of cancer so they can make an informed decision on their care that is aligned most with their personal goals. Her clinical interests are gynecologic cancer surgery and minimally invasive surgery. She derives the most joy from her work by creating meaningful and lasting relationships with her patients.

Dr. Sally Mullany joined the gynecologic oncology faculty of the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Women's Health on September 1, 2011. Dr. Mullany's most recent position was as an assistant professor in the Division of Gynecologic Oncology at Wake Forest University Medical Center, Winston-Salem, North Carolina. She completed her fellowship in gynecologic oncology and her residency at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. Dr. Mullany has received several awards in teaching, professionalism, and research during both her residency and fellowship. In addition, Dr. Mullany is the Director of the Gynecologic Oncology Fellowship Program in the Department of OB/GYN and Women's Health.

Bio
Rahel Nardos, MD, MS was born and raised in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. She received a scholarship to attend Franklin and Marshall college where she earned her BS in Biopsychology. A Yale School of Medicine graduate, she completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Washington University in St. Louis. Following her residency, Dr. Nardos spent one year as staff surgeon at the Addis Ababa Hamlin Fistula Hospital and its multiple satellite medical centers in Ethiopia where served women with childbirth injuries. She then returned to the United States and completed her fellowship training in female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery, as well as her master's degree in clinical research at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU).
Dr. Nardos joined the University of Minnesota in August 2020 as associate professor in the Division of Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery (FPMRS) and also as the Director of Global Women's Health within the Center of Global Health and Social Responsibility. In her new role, Dr. Nardos hopes to support global and local partnerships that elevate the health of women in underserved communities through interdisciplinary and interprofessional collaborations that strengthen health systems through education, research, clinical care and community outreach. The meaningful difference she aspires to make is to leverage her unique worldview and life experience as an immigrant to serve as a human bridge, and to harness the collective wisdom and passion of our community so that quality and affordable healthcare is accessible to every woman, irrespective of the lottery of her birthplace.
