Response to the incident at the 2023 ACOG Meeting
There was an incident at the most recent ACOG Annual Clinical Meeting Baltimore that I feel I must address as the Chair of this department. I will leave the video in this link to speak for itself. Please note that this video contains violence and may be a trigger to anyone who has suffered sexual assault or harrasment.
CONTENT WARNING: Sexual assault and violence

I have discussed this with our department leadership. We do not tolerate sexual assault, sexual harassment, or violence in any of the places we work, or from anyone in or associated with our department and we will follow the processes at the University of Minnesota regarding such incidents. Additionally, there are resources available at the University of Minnesota as outlined in this link, https://policy.umn.edu/hr/sexharassassault.
I encourage any of you who may be impacted by any form of violence to report it and to access the supportive measures outlined in the link.
Respectfully,
John Fischer, MD, FACOG | Department Head
