Dr. Deb Bohn Receives the John Song Distinguished Mentoring Award

Dr. Deb Bohn has been honored with the John Song Distinguished Mentoring Award, recognizing her exemplary commitment to mentoring medical students and advancing medical education. This award, established in 2019 in honor of the beloved faculty member Dr. John Song, celebrates faculty who consistently serve as effective mentors and advisors throughout all four years of medical school.
The John Song Distinguished Mentoring Award highlights the vital, often co-curricular, contributions faculty make in shaping the experiences and careers of future physicians. It is awarded annually to up to two faculty members. 
Faculty who receive this honor are recognized for demonstrating commitment to inclusion, tangible impact on trainees' careers, and prioritization of availability for mentees, ensuring students have meaningful access to guidance and support. 
Dr. Bohn was celebrated alongside other distinguished recipients during the Dean’s Tribute to Excellence in Education, held on Wednesday, April 29, at the Bell Museum.
