Leaders: A Look Ahead to 2025
Erik Solberg, MEd
In April 2025, Erik Solberg accepted the role of Administrative Director for the Department of Orthopedic Surgery. Following this acceptance, Erik has been working closely with Erica Stangeland as she transitions the position to him in preparation for her retirement. Erik will continue his duties as Education Manager in the meantime.
Erik has been a valued member of our department since 2016, serving as our Education Manager. His dedication to our mission and passion for higher education have made a lasting impact on our trainees and team.
Throughout his time with our department, Erik has earned the respect of staff, residents, fellows, and faculty alike. He is known for his strong leadership, ability to manage concurrent tasks under tight deadlines, and his genuine enthusiasm for supporting professional development — both his own and that of his colleagues.
Because of these qualities—and many more—Erik is an excellent fit for this position. We look forward to Erik thriving in this new role and continuing to contribute his skills and leadership to the department.
