Arries is honored again for “Excellence in Education”
From the Dean's Tribute to Excellence in Education website:
"Each year, the Medical School honors students, faculty, and community partners who exemplify our values and mission. Those selected are exceptional students, distinguished mentors, and driven individuals who strive to make a lasting difference in the community. Honorees are nominated by students or faculty members for their exemplary educational practices, scholarship, innovation, and research, as well as their commitment to educating Minnesota’s future physicians and outstanding students."
LMP assistant professor Cade Arries's skill at implementing the new pathology curriculum for first-year medical students earned him a Distinguished Foundational Science Year 1 Teaching Award from the Medical School, which he received at the Dean's Tribute to Excellence in Education event at the Bell Museum last May.
Arries repeated the honor April 30 with a "Year 2" award.
The LMP story "For medical students, the future of pathology education is unfolding now" published last year highlights how pathology education is changing and Arries's leadership role.
