The medical student Pathology Student Interest Group (PSIG) met November 19 for a "skills session."

Some 20 students participated in hands-on activities at four stations: finger sticks at the transfusion medicine and blood typing station, microscopic examination of blood smears station, a station for performing fine-needle aspiration on oranges, and analysis of sealed organ and tissue sections at the grossing station.

LMP faculty, pathologist trainees, and pathologists’ assistants worked with the students at each station.
