Reunion giving

Extend your legacy and invest in the next generation of University of Minnesota Medical School students by making a special gift or pledge in honor of your class reunion.

What counts toward a reunion gift?

All gifts and pledges to the Medical School made between January 1 and December 31 of your reunion year by members of your class will count in your class’s gift total. You can also participate by documenting or updating an estate gift commitment this year.

  • One-time gift: We encourage you to give at a level that is personally meaningful.

  • Multiyear pledge: A multi-year pledge allows you to make your gift in installments, while still counting the full value of your commitment towards your class gift total. Maximum pledge length is five years.

  • Estate and planned gifts: Planned gifts, such as bequests, charitable trusts, and beneficiary designations on retirement plans, are all impactful ways to provide long-term support for the Medical School and to advance its mission beyond your lifetime. A variety of estate and planned gift options are available to suit your goals and provide several tax benefits.
