Virtual Conference on How to Conduct a Mental Health Assessment for an Immigration Case
February 8, 2021 | 12:30 pm - 5:30 pm
Immigrants to the United States face many challenges, including trauma. The trauma can be a cause for their departure from their home country, but it can also occur during migration, or while in the United States. When immigrants seek an immigration status in the United States, they have a number of complex, legal steps to complete. Behavioral health providers are needed to provide medical assessments and documentation in immigration cases. This conference gives providers the skills needed to complete these vitally important assessments.
Following completion of this training, learners should be better able to:
- Identify the steps to complete an assessment.
- Describe the fundamental aspects of an immigration assessment.
- Identify potential barriers to providing an immigration assessment.
