Dr. Leslie Chang Receives ASTRO-BCRF 2025 Medical Student Fellowship Mentor Award

Dr. Leslie Chang was selected to receive the American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO) and Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF) Medical Student Fellowship: Mentor Award. Her mentee at the University of Minnesota Medical School, Jaitri Joshi, was also selected to receive the 2025 Medical Student Fellowship Award.

This award recognizes the importance of ASTRO mentors in supporting MSF student career growth and development as well as the success of MSF students’ research projects.

The Medical Student Fellowship (MSF) Award connects medical students from underrepresented backgrounds in medicine to the field of radiation oncology early in their education with preference given to first and second year medical students. More details can be found on ASTROs webpage.
