Dr. Sloan Named American Cancer Society "ResearcHERS Rising Star"

Dr. Lindsey Sloan was named an American Cancer Society ResearcHERS “Rising Star” for 2024. This award recognizes her amazing accomplishments and examples of excellence in research.

ResearcHERS  is a branch of the American Cancer Society that gives influential women the opportunity to help raise funds for some of the country’s most exciting cancer research projects led by women since women tend to be underrepresented in research leadership.

According to the American Cancer Society webpage, “ResearcHERS is a movement. A sisterhood of purpose determined to sustain women-led cancer research and recognize the trailblazers in the field who identify as women.”
