New Faculty - Dr. Alexandra Diaz

We are excited to announce a new faculty member who has recently joined the Radiation Oncology Department at the University of Minnesota.

Alexandra Diaz, MD, MS has joined the clinical faculty as a Professor.

Dr. Diaz will be seeing patients at UMMC treating GU and GI malignancies at UMMC and will transition to Radiation Oncology Residency Program Director on July 15, 2025.Dr. Diaz completed medical school in Bogota, Colombia, as well as a Master of Science in Clinical and Translational Investigation at the University of Miami, where she also completed residency. She is coming to the University of Minnesota from the Ohio State University, where she was actively involved in institutional as well as national clinical trials. In addition, she is the Chair of the International Education Subcommittee of ASTRO and Associate Editor of PRO.
