Groups from all over the Twin Cities campus with varying missions and goals compete for the Campus Climate Micro-Grants each year. The micro-grant awards $500-$1000 to existing and new projects to positively impact the campus climate.

The Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee from the Division of Physical Therapy were awarded a micro-grant this year! Congratulations to the student-led grassroots committee for spearheading the grant application and making a difference in the community. Learn more about the committee and its goals below.

Goals:

  • We seek to go into communities to raise awareness of the PT profession with the hopes of better-recruiting individuals from underrepresented communities.
  • Better identifying and recruiting diverse applicants. Making sure the admission process does not create undue barriers.
  • Fostering a sense of belonging and inclusion for everyone within the program.
  • Promoting diversity within the curriculum including presenters, course work, faculty, and etc.
