Where We Practice

The Center for Sexual Health is the clinical endeavor of the Institute for Sexual and Gender Health (ISGH). The Institute for Sexual and Gender Health employs a diverse and integrated team including licensed psychologists, research psychologists, licensed marriage and family therapists, a family physician, a psychiatric physician assistant, a licensed nurse practitioner, a medical assistant, research and clinical administrators, research assistants, and clinical staff. Most faculty are licensed psychologists.

A hallmark of the culture at the Institute for Sexual and Gender Health is the harmonization of clinical, research, education and advocacy missions. ISGH works in a team fashion with strong interdisciplinary collaboration. The clinic provides approximately 10,000 patient visits a year to a variety of individuals, couples and families with sexual and gender concerns, as well as co-morbid psychiatric disorders. The clinic provides culturally responsive care to a diverse community with various sexual orientations and gender identities.

The Institute for Sexual and Gender Health is located in Minneapolis, Minnesota and is part of the Medical School at the University of Minnesota. As such, it is located in a large metropolitan, urban center although patients come from all parts of the State of Minnesota and surrounding areas.
