The Society of Black Academic Surgeons Membership
We are pleased to share that the Department of Surgery now has an Institutional Membership with The Society of Black Academic Surgeons (SBAS). SBAS motivates, mentors, and inspires surgeons and medical students to pursue academic careers and make significant contributions to the advancement of the field of surgery.
Their vision is to improve health, advance science, and foster careers of African American and other underrepresented minority surgeons. Additionally, they offer several membership benefits for surgeons, residents, and institutions.
