Amy J. Goldberg, MD, FACS is a nationally celebrated trauma surgeon and educator, serving Temple and the community for 30 plus years.
She became Dean of the Lewis Katz School of Medicine in 2022.
A violence-prevention innovator and researcher, she has garnered national media attention, including CNN, The New York Times and Huffington Post. She received The Philadelphia Award, recognizing extraordinary civic commitment and social responsibility.
An American College of Surgeons fellow, Dr. Goldberg is named among the Best Doctors in America. She received the Christian R. and Mary F. Lindback Foundation Award for Distinguished Teaching and The Great Teacher Award, Temple University’s highest teaching. The American College of Surgeons designated her a Master Surgeon Educator. She is Chair of the American Board of Surgery and lectures at universities and major professional association conferences.
