Celebrating our 2025 Rising Stars

Nine Department of Surgery faculty were recognized as Top Doctors: Rising Stars for 2025 by Mpls.St.Paul Magazine.

Honorees were selected through a rigorous process that started by asking physicians to nominate others whom they would trust with their own – or a family member’s – care. The magazine defines Rising Stars as doctors who are in the first 10 years of their careers.

“These Rising Stars are leaders in their disciplines, bringing research discoveries directly to patients and preparing their trainees to do the same,” said Bevan Yueh, MD, MPH, CEO of University of Minnesota Physicians and Vice Dean for Clinical Affairs at the U of M Medical School.
