The Department of Surgery is pleased to welcome Harika Nalluri-Butz, MD, as an Assistant Professor specializing in Colon and Rectal Surgery.

The Department of Surgery welcomes Harika Nalluri-Butz, MD, as an Assistant Professor.

Dr. Nalluri-Butz earned her medical degree from the University of Missouri - Kansas City, followed by her general surgery residency at the University of Minnesota. She recently completed a Colon and Rectal Surgery Fellowship at Washington University in Saint Louis. Dr. Nalluri-Butz is skilled in the management of colon and rectal cancer, diverticulitis, anorectal diseases, and pelvic floor dysfunction. She is also highly skilled in laparoscopic and robotic surgery techniques, with extensive experience in colonoscopy procedures.

Her commitment to patient-centered care and surgical excellence has earned her accolades such as the Justin W. Goodhue, MD, Humanitarian Award. Dr. Nalluri-Butz is an active member of professional organizations including the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons, the American College of Surgeons, and the Gold Humanism Honor Society.

Dr. Nalluri-Butz is eager to contribute to the department's clinical, educational, and research missions and to advance innovative treatments in colorectal surgery.
