The Department of Surgery is excited to welcome Kendall R. McEachron, MD, MS, as an Assistant Professor.

Dr. McEachron is a trauma, critical care, and acute care surgeon who grew up in Minnesota. She completed her undergraduate degree at Azusa Pacific University in Los Angeles, California, and her medical degree at the University of Minnesota Medical School. She also completed general surgery residency, a Master’s in clinical research, and a surgical critical care fellowship at the University of Minnesota.

As a clinical and translational researcher, Dr. McEachron focuses on addressing questions that directly impact patient care, striving to improve outcomes through innovative approaches to clinical data. Her teaching philosophy emphasizes level-appropriate autonomy and wellness for surgical residents, in particular she is interested in developing strategies to support residents who are pregnant and newly post-partum. Her clinical practice is comprised of elective general surgery, acute care surgery, critical care, and trauma. She believes in approaching patients holistically and with compassion.

“I am committed to excellent clinical care, innovative research, and training the next generation of surgeons in order to improve our patients’ lives, our training program, our hospital, and our health system—because that’s what Minnesotans deserve from their academic health center,” said Dr. McEachron.
