Earlier this April, Derrick Green, MD, MBA, was selected to serve on the National Surgery Office's (NSO) Vascular Surgery Surgical Advisory Board (SAB).

The Vascular Surgery Advisory Board is comprised of five vascular surgeons who serve as subject matter experts in the field of vascular surgery and report directly to Veterans Hospital Administration (VA) leadership and the National Surgery Office.

This appointment requires review of VA vascular programs, procedures, and outcomes across the nation. This is accomplished through on-site review of vascular programs and their facilities, with the intent of ensuring timely and quality care to patients with vascular pathologies across the nation.

"This is an incredible honor and humbling task that has been bestowed upon me. I have been entrusted to have a positive impact on patient care across the nation," said Dr. Green.

Dr. Green's three-year term of office will be from April 1, 2025, to March 31, 2028.

Congratulations, Dr. Green!
