Evan Roberts, PhD, Assistant Professor in the Program in the History of Medicine, has been selected as the 2025-2026 Fesler Lampert Chair in Aging Studies. This one-year appointment is awarded to a faculty member to support research in aging that enhances and develops their own career in addition to the University's scholarly capacity in aging science.

"The Fesler-Lampert award will allow me to complete a case-control study of prisoners of war, and veterans who died by suicide, comparing experiences across soldiers from New Zealand and the United States in World War I and II. This project where I am applying a statistical technique widely used in medicine to study a public health problem historically embodies the interdisciplinary scholarship I can pursue in our Program," said Dr. Roberts.
