The Department of Surgery is proud to announce that Dr. Julia Davydova has been awarded the Muggee Research Award in Pediatric Cancer, an exciting accomplishment in her career. This award will support her first funded project in pediatric cancer, a collaborative effort with Dr. David Largaespada.

The Muggee Research Award in Pediatric Cancer was established to accelerate promising, innovative, and impactful research at the University of Minnesota. The research grants support work directly relevant to pediatric cancer, including but not limited to, studies on its etiology, therapies, and long-term effects.

Dr. Davydova and Dr. Largaespada have ambitious plans for their project, which is supported by a $50,000 grant. They're optimistic about leveraging this work to pursue future grant opportunities, including NIH funding mechanisms.

Congratulations, Dr. Davydova, on this excellent achievement!
