In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the University Imaging Centers are continuing to provide status updates, and have implemented mandatory cleaning and safety protocols for all users using UIC resources. Please visit our sunrise safety protocols page to learn more

Instrumentation

Overview

The University Imaging Center's network of facilities offers instrumentation and support for light and electron microscopy, multiplex ion beam imaging, tissue clearing, in-vivo imaging from subcellular to whole animals, image analysis, visualization, and slide scanning.

UIC Staff are available to assist in experimental design, probe and labeling selection, sample handling, tissue clearing, as well as data analysis, visualization, and interpretation.

In addition to training users to independently operate our instrumentation the University Imaging Centers also offers several end-to-end research and full sample preparation services.

Using UIC instrumentation

The University Imaging Centers (UIC) is a fee-for-use facility open to investigators and projects of members of the University of Minnesota community as well as external users.

The first step towards gaining access to UIC equipment is to submit a training request.
