Join Us for the Annual John M. Barry Grand Lectureship

Rodney Breau, MD will be presenting the annual John M. Barry Grand Lectureship titled, "Prevention of Bleeding and Blood Transfusion in Urology," on Wednesday, January 15, 2025. 

Dr. Breau is a professor in the Department of Surgery at the University of Ottawa, an associate scientist at the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute, and is Chair of the Canadian Urological Association Guideline Committee.

About John M. Barry, MD

Dr. Barry grew up in rural Minnesota and attended the University of Minnesota for seven years, earning three degrees, culminating with his MD in 1965. Currently, Dr. Barry is Professor of Urology and Professor of Surgery at Oregon Health & Science University in the Division of Abdominal Organ Transplantation. His legacy includes over 2,500 kidney transplants. His goal with this lectureship series is to allow the department to invite stars in the field and reinforce the bridge between the local practice community and the department.
