A native New Yorker, Zimmern moved to the Twin Cities nearly three decades ago seeking treatment at Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation. After rebuilding his life around sobriety, Zimmern found success as a television personality on Travel Channel’s Bizarre Foods franchise. He has won four James Beard awards, written four books and is an entrepreneur-in-residence at Babson College. He is the founder of both Intuitive Content, a television and digital production company, and Passport Hospitality, a restaurant and food service development company.
