Leadership

The UMN NSC Executive Committee is responsible for the following: 

  • Monitoring and prioritizing core resources
  • Report progress, success and recommendations to the NSC Coordinating Center and NIA Program staff
  • Routinely assess overall strategic and operational responsibilities
  • Make policies, develop strategies and provide high-level oversight for the UMN NSC
  • Identify potential areas of cross-collaboration with other NSCs
  • Promote the UMN NSC when speaking or attending scientific conferences

 

The UMN NSC Internal Advisory Committee provides the following:

  • Offer strategic advice on the management and operations based on their own leadership experience and knowledge of the intellectual and technological landscape at UMN
  • Provide guidance and review of pilot award applications in cases of conflict between the awardee and the executive committee members

 

The UMN NSC External Advisory Committee provides the following:

  • Provide non-binding strategic advice on management and operations of the UMN NSC
  • Evaluate progress annually and provide written evaluation to the NSC Coordinating Center
