Dr. Mark Thomas, director of the Medical Discovery Team on Addiction, was awarded a $9.9M grant from the National Institutes on Drug Abuse to build the Center for Neural Circuits in Addiction. This interdisciplinary center will bring researchers together to create tools for measuring and intervening in the neural circuits that addiction affects. The center will also provide expertise and training to help researchers within the University of Minnesota and externally use these innovations to develop new treatments for addiction.
