The Arts & Humanities in Medicine Scholarly Concentration is a longitudinal experience for University of Minnesota medical students that explores the intersection between medicine and the arts and humanities. Throughout the course of their medical school journey, students will have the opportunity to engage in formal coursework (during the Clinical Immersion and Transition to Residency phases of their education) as well as extracurricular opportunities related to the arts and humanities. A breadth of arts and humanities topics will be covered in these offerings and students can select the courses and activities that best fit their interests and goals. The program will culminate in a capstone project that students will share at an exhibition in the spring of their graduation year.
