Executive Women’s Health Research Coach Matching Program

The International Coaching Federation (ICF) defines coaching as “partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential”(1). Coaching as an approach to support faculty and individual career success has a growing body of evidence and information (2, 3, 4, 5).
We trained a small cohort of Women’s Health Research Faculty and Research Staff as certified coaches and are piloting a coach-matching program through Fall 2025.
Eligibility:
Current University of Minnesota advanced students/learners, post doc, research staff, or faculty.
Commitment to developing a research career in women's health, sex-difference and/or gender health research.
What to expect:
Express interest and provide information such as your research interests, career stage, and why you are interested in connecting with a coach.
Receive confirmation that the CWHR/BIRCWH has received your interest.
The CWHR/BIRCWH will then (1) pass along your information to the cohort of coaches for potential matching, (2) maintain your contact information, and contact you if there are other similar opportunities in the future.
If a coach is interested in connecting with you, they will contact you directly using the information provided.
**There is a limited number of coaches and thus, we can not guarantee by completing this form that you will receive a coach match.
