Graduate Training

The Department offers MS and PhD training through the Integrated Biosciences Graduate Program on the Duluth Campus. In addition, graduate training opportunities for the PhD are available through some Twin Cities based programs in the Medical School.

Post-doctoral training

The department provides a stimulating environment for the training of post-doctoral fellows, helping to prepare them for careers in academia, government, and industry. Multidisciplinary faculty provide extensive opportunities for collaborations and cross-discipline training projects for post-doctoral fellows.

Undergraduate Research Training

Opportunities are available to prepare undergraduates for careers in research and as health professionals. Many research laboratories accept students as paid laboratory workers or through the UROP program of the University of Minnesota. In addition, the Bridges to the Baccalaureate program provides research training for students from underrepresented groups.
