Morris Nilsen Funeral Chapel is a family owned and operated funeral home located in Richfield, MN just three blocks south of Minneapolis. We are situated on a bus route and close to the light rail park and ride. We serve a variety of families in all aspects of funeral service.
No experience is necessary but we are looking for a student who is currently enrolled or accepted into the Program of Mortuary Science at the University of MN.
Valid drivers license. Able to perform the physical aspects of the job description. Present yourself in a professional manner including having the proper clothing for services and transfers.
Duties include but are not limited to answering the phone after hours, assisting on body transfers, washing a four-vehicle fleet, light chapel cleaning, and supervising visitations. Duties will be shared with a second night attendant.
Typical schedule would be every other night and every other weekend.
Night attendants are given the use of a free private apartment along with a paid hourly rate with additional compensation for transfers.
