Dr. Milind Bhagat is an Assistant Professor of Medicine specializing in Pulmonary and Critical Care at the University of Minnesota. He is a dedicated advocate for fostering diversity in medical education, improving access to quality healthcare for underserved populations, and addressing disparities in medical outcomes.
He is particularly interested in clinical research in the fields of bedside POCUS, pleural diseases, pulmonary hypertension, research and education of bedside critical care as well as bronchoscopic procedures, as well as expanding access to the screening, promoting equity in diagnosis and addressing disparities in the treatment of lung cancer. His prior work has included identifying high risk COVID-19 patients in the hospital, for which he was awarded the prestigious Alfred Soffer Research award.
