Dr. Torrens will present the high risk of experiencing depression comorbidity among women with substance use disorders in different populations and will cover risk factors associated with this comorbidity in women globally including experiencing intimate partner violence, perinatal depression, and postpartum mood disorders.

She is a professor of Psychiatry at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and at the Universitat de Vic-CC, Member elected of the Scientific Committee of EMCDDA and the Informal Scientific Network of UNODC-WHO. She is also a consultant with international organizations including EMCDDA, ECDC, WHO, UNOD&C. She has more than 300 publications and has been invited as an expert at many scientific congresses and meetings.
