Launched in 2006, the University of Minnesota’s interprofessional education initiative, 1Health is a tangible outcome of Health Sciences Education's long-term commitment to developing an interprofessional workforce and meet the healthcare needs of Minnesota communities.

In November, Assistant professor, Amy Greminger, MD, announced her new role with the team as a 1Health faculty member. In this role, Dr. Greminger will participate with fellow leadership members of 1Health to design, implement, and evaluate the interprofessional education program for the academic year.

Through 1Health, the University of Minnesota is preparing students in allied health, dentistry, medicine, nursing, pharmacy, public health, and other related programs, such as social work, to develop the skills needed for success in interprofessional collaborative practice.
