Dr. Jean Regal Appointed Department Head for Biomedical Sciences

In early April, Jean Regal, PhD, accepted the role as head of the Department of Biomedical Sciences with a two-year appointment. Previously, Dr. Regal served as interim head and has brought excellent leadership to the department. 

Dr. Regal has been a professor in the department since 1997 and is an NIH-funded researcher focused on cardiopulmonary disease. She serves as the director of the Women's Faculty Mentoring Program and received an award for Outstanding Faculty Mentoring in 2019.
