Hwang Lab
Justin Hwang, PhD
Based out of the University of Minnesota, the Hwang laboratory specializes in the discovery of genomic and biological features that characterize therapy resistant endocrine cancers, including prostate, ovarian, and breast.
The Hwang laboratory is currently transforming the way that researchers and physicians approach the treatment of cancer through the development of informatics algorithms that interrogate -omics data from laboratory models and patient samples.
Through these algorithms, genome-scale gene editing and informatics tools have been deployed to identify novel target genes, biomarkers, or in the development of patient databases to facilitate clinical studies on UMN patients.
But we’re more than just that. We’re future physicians, medical students, undergraduates, mentors, and innovators. We’re a family of passionate individuals caring for the families in our community impacted by cancer.
Together, we will uncover novel discoveries that change the way we treat our patients and loved ones.
