What we do:

The Center Accelerator helps multi-disciplinary medical and engineering teams prepare and apply for center-level funding (> $1M/year in direct costs) to address significant medical challenges.

Why we do it:

Established medical and engineering researchers have the vision and expertise to lead multi-disciplinary teams that can tackle complex medical challenges. But they generally lack the time and/or project management expertise to develop a team and oversee the complicated process of preparing a center-level grant proposal.

What we aim for:

We aim to accelerate the process to a competitive center-level funding proposal. We do this by providing consulting around team formation and development, project management for center-level proposals, and high-quality editing of proposals.

Who we help:

We help any IEM faculty member interested in applying engineering to biomedical problems. The table below captures the journey from initial concept to a competitive center-level grant proposal and how the Center Accelerator helps teams in each Phase.
