Hina Durrani, recipient of the 2023-24 Doctoral Dissertation Fellowship (DDF) from the UMN Graduate School

Kudos to Hina! Hina Durrani, IBS PhD Graduate student and Research Assistant in the Zimmer Lab in the Department of Biomedical Sciences, University of Minnesota Medical School, Duluth Campus, received the 2023-24 Doctoral Dissertation Fellowship (DDF) Award. Durrani was selected out of 193 outstanding doctoral candidates from across the University of Minnesota’s nominees.

The Fellowship is a nine-month, non-service award, which carries an academic year stipend of $25,000, plus tuition for up to 14 credits per semester, as well as an optional health insurance benefit. The stipend provides financial support to help awardees in their effort to complete their research and dissertation in a timely manner.
