The Department of Neuroscience is home to the undergraduate neuroscience major. The University also offers a graduate degree in neuroscience, as well as neuroscience courses and seminars.
Neuroscience faculty have a wide range of research interests and expertise, with investigations ranging from molecular to systems neuroscience.
The Department of Neuroscience supports a number of programs that bring neuroscience into the community, such as Brain Awareness Week, BrainU, and Minnesota State Brain Bee.

The principal aim of my laboratory is to understand the molecular pathways that drive neuronal death in Huntington´s Disease (HD), an inherited neurodegenerative disorder caused by a CAG triplet repeat expansion within exon-1 of the Huntingtin gene (Htt).
