To apply to MINDS, fill out this online form, which will require you to upload the following documents:

• CV or Resume
• Unofficial College Transcripts
• One written statement (2 page maximum, single spaced, 11 pt Arial or Times New Roman font) that includes your personal background; research interests; long-term goals; how MINDS will help you achieve your goals; and your commitment to advancing marginalized researchers in neuroscience
• Two letters of recommendation should be emailed separately by the recommender to [email protected]: and include the applicant's name in the email subject line.

All application materials including letters of recommendation are due by March 1st, 2026 at 11:59 PM (PST)

Application Timeline:

January 2026: Formal call for applications

February 3, 2026: Virtual open house (6:00 pm CST)

March 1, 2026: Applications deadline (11:59 pm PST)

March, 2026: Invitations to virtual interviews

April, 2026: Offers sent to participants 

April, 2026: Deadline to respond to offers of admissions (5:00pm CST) 

July 31, 2026: Program start date 

August 2026: Lab rotations in potential research labs of interest begins
