2024 Van Bergen Lectureship

The Department of Anesthesiology is pleased to welcome Dr. Robert Gaiser to the University of Minnesota to be the keynote speaker of the 10th Annual Van Bergen Lectureship. Dr. Gaiser will be speaking on, "Be the Best You Can Be and the Patient Wins."

Speaker
Robert Gaiser, MD, is professor of anesthesiology and the Core Program Director in the Department of Anesthesiology at Yale School of Medicine. His primary interest is in obstetric anesthesiology. He is a member of the American Board of Anesthesiology, serving as the Executive Director for Professional Affairs. He serves on the 3C Committee of the American Board of Medical Specialties. He is a board member for the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education and chair of the Journal Oversight Committee. He is the editor for the anesthesiology section of Doody Enterprises and serves as an assistant editor for Anesthesia & Analgesia. He serves on the Committee on Academic Anesthesiology for the American Society of Anesthesiologists. He is an emeritus editor-in-chief for the Journal of Clinical Anesthesiology and was president of the Society for Obstetric Anesthesiology and Perinatology in 2015.
