Dileepan earned his PhD from the University of Minnesota in 2006. He joined the
Department of Microbiology and Immunology in 2007 as a postdoctoral researcher, where he studied
Group A Streptococcal pathogenesis under the mentorship of Dr. Pat Cleary. In 2013,
he became a senior scientist in Dr. Marc Jenkins’ laboratory, where he has led pMHCII
tetramer operations at the Center for Immunology for over 12 years. In 2022, Dileepan
established his independent research program, focusing on antigen-specific immune
responses, with a particular emphasis on CD4 T cell biology and the development of
innovative tools to study these processes. With more than 20 years of experience in
Immunology, Microbiology, and Molecular biology, Dileepan has collaborated
extensively with researchers worldwide. He is internationally recognized for his
expertise in pMHCII tetramer technology.
