Microbiology Club

The purpose of the Microbiology Club is to

  • Provide students with information about the many exciting career options in Microbiology
  • Encourage students to get involved in Microbiology research projects as undergraduates
  • Connect students to the many professional and training resources available to them through the American Society for Microbiology, the oldest and largest life science organization in the world.

Meetings

The Microbiology Club hosts monthly meetings where academic and industry researchers give presentations related to their work and career opportunities in Microbiology.

Activities

Microbiology Movie Nights, field trips to local biotech companies, outreach activities, and panel discussions round out the club activities.

The Microbiology Club is affiliated with the Department of Microbiology and Immunology at the University of Minnesota and is an official student chapter of the American Society for Microbiology. Club membership is free and all University of Minnesota students are welcome to join.
