Elizabeth Goldsmith, MD, PhD

Elizabeth S. Goldsmith, MD, PhD is a general internist and social/behavioral epidemiologist interested in structural and psychosocial factors driving development, diagnosis and management of health conditions, particularly chronic pain. Her current research investigates use of nondrug therapies for chronic musculoskeletal pain and evaluates potential biases in electronic medical record-based research. She provides primary care to Veterans in the Minneapolis Women’s Comprehensive Care Clinic and is a physician on the National Veterans Affairs Transgender and Gender-Diverse E-Consult Team.
