Research brief: Diversity gaps persist in dermatology workforce pipeline
Dr. Matthew Mansh, and co-authors', most recent cross-sectional study in JAMA Dermatology, "Diversity and Career Goals of Graduating Allopathic Medical Students Pursuing Careers in Dermatology," found persistent diversity gaps in the dermatology workforce pipeline. This cross-sectional study also found an overall lack of interest in careers focused on underserved care among medical students pursuing dermatology as a medical specialty.
The University of Minnesota's Medical School has released a "Research Brief" on this topic, found here. The full cross-sectional JAMA study article can be found here.
