Educational Excellence

Education is core to the Department of Emergency Medicine’s mission. Providing practical educational experience to medical students, resident and practicing physicians, and EMS students and practitioners in emergency procedures with a focus on experiences that require team performance, skills acquisition and the principles of excellent decision-making in the emergency department.

MEDICAL STUDENTS

The department offers a core rotation in Emergency Medicine, as well as several elective experiences.

RESIDENCY

The Department of Emergency Medicine collaborates with the two Twin Cities Emergency Medicine residences at Hennepin and Regions.

Programs

The Department offers a variety of EM experiences to medical students as well as a procedure lab for non-University healthcare providers.
