Bio
Felix Ankel is an emergency physician, Professor of Emergency Medicine, and Associate Dean for Faculty Affairs at HealthPartners. HealthPartners family of care includes six hospitals, a comprehensive system of clinics and a 1,800-physician multispecialty group practice and is a partner for the University of Minnesota Medical School undergraduate and graduate education programs. Dr. Ankel is a former emergency medicine residency director and a Parker J. Palmer Courage to Teach Award recipient given by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME). He currently serves on the board of directors of the American Board of Emergency Medicine.
Bio
Dr. Binstadt grew up in MN and trained at HAEMR in Boston, followed by a fellowship in Education and Research in Medical Simulation at Harvard Medical School and a MPH at Harvard School of Public Health. She developed one of the first curricula using Simulation for EM resident education. She loves teaching residents and medical students, and she is passionate about taking great care of patients. Her interests within medicine include Medical Ethics, Wilderness Medicine, Women in Medicine, and issues of justice, equity, diversity and inclusion.

Dr. Burnett practices Emergency Medicine at Regions Hospital in St. Paul, MN and Lakeview Hospital in Stillwater, MN. He serves as an EMS Medical Director for several agencies in the Twin Cities East Metro. He received his medical degree from the State University of NY at Syracuse and completed a residency in Emergency Medicine and fellowship in Prehospital Medicine at Regions Hospital in St. Paul, MN. He is board certified through the American Board of Emergency Medicine in both Emergency Medicine and EMS. Dr. Burnett conducts research and has published peer reviewed articles on topics including cardiac arrest, paramedic student education, prehospital sedation and airway management.

Dr. Burns attended medical school at Kansas City University in Kansas City, MO, graduating in 2010. He concurrently completed an MBA at Rockhurst University in KC, MO as well. He completed his residency though the Ascension Health system in Metro Detroit in 2014 and has worked clinically at Fairview Ridges since 2016.

Dr. Cole is an emergency physician and medical toxicologist at Hennepin Healthcare, and Medical Director of the Minnesota Poison Control System. His research focuses on acute poisoning, emergency pharmacology, and treatment of substance use disorders in the emergency department.

Andrea Dreyfuss is the Ultrasound Global Health Director and Ultrasound Fellowship Director at the Hennepin Department of Emergency Medicine, and an Assistant Professor at the University of Minnesota. Her international work is focused throughout Latin America, where she created the first emergency medicine ultrasound fellowship in her home country of Peru, founding the organization Ondas de Latinoamérica along the way. She has worked in developing sustainable ultrasound educational models in Peru, Costa Rica, Mexico, and Ecuador.

Brian Driver is a faculty emergency physician and Director of Clinical Research in the Department of Emergency Medicine at Hennepin County Medical Center. He has researched and published extensively on emergency airway management, including publications in JAMA, CHEST, and Annals of Emergency Medicine. He has authored numerous textbook chapters and lectured nationally and internationally on best practices for emergency airway management. He is an instructor for local airway courses and the national Difficult Airway Course.

Dr. Stephen Dunlop is an attending physician at Hennepin County Medical Center, Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine at the University of Minnesota, Director of the Fellowship in Global Emergency Medicine with an appointment as an ASTMH certified Global Health Course Co-Director focusing on education in Ultrasound, Trauma and Simulation in resource poor settings. He has years of on the ground experience in East Africa focusing on education, research and systems development of Acute Care systems.

I trained at Regions Emergency Medicine residency, and spent my first 6 years of practice at North Memorial before coming to United hospital in 2014. I was a paramedic before and during medical school and joined the Allina EMS team in 2019. My husband is a fire chief for St. Paul Fire and we are busy with our two boys and anything we can do outside.
Bio
Anst Gelin values the practice of medicine both at home and across the globe. He is involved with medical students, residents, and fellows' education in the United States, and also around the world with Haiti being an area of focus. Dr. Gelin started one of the first Emergency Clinical Ultrasonography fellowship program outside the U.S. for Emergency Physician in Haiti and has continuously been involved in medical education in Haiti.
His area of interest is emergency ultrasound education with a special emphasis in low resource settings.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Gelin is an intermediate traditional rock climber. He also enjoys reaching the summits of mountains, having successfully climbed multiple 6,000 meter peaks.

Bio
I first experienced emergency medicine as a medical student at HCMC and it changed my life! I completed training first in internal medicine then EM in the city of brotherly love than returned to my dream job at HCMC in 1996. I've had the pleasure to serve and medical student director then residency director fulfilling a career long dedication to medical education. In addition I've completed in multiple research endeavors in multiple areas from ACS to Asthma to Addiction medicine.

I am a native of St. Paul Minnesota. Attended undergraduate at Augustana University. Completed Medical school at the University of Minnesota in 1994. Residency in Family Practice at the University of Minnesota Fairview. I have been working at Fairview/ MHealth starting as a moonlighter and later as staff for 28 years in multiple roles, but primarily in the West Emergency Department. For 20 years I have had the pleasure of coordinating and teaching FP and Psychiatry residents, as well as 3rd and 4th year Medical students who rotate in our Emergency Department.

I am a dual boarded EM/EMS physician working at Regions Hospital in both the emergency department and with the EMS department. I am the program director for the Regions EMS fellowship as well as core faculty for the emergency medicine residency program. In my EMS role I am the medical director for a number of ALS services in the East metro area.
Bio
I grew up in South Dakota and trained at Advocate Christ EM Residency in Chicago. I worked for eight years in private sector EM before joining VA EM in 2014. I am passionate about teaching and promoting excellence in emergency care for our veterans. My academic interests include simulation education, resuscitation, and teamwork. I served as the founding director of the University of South Dakota Parry Center for Clinical Skills and Simulation in 2012-2013. I have conducted simulation research in stress and learning and resuscitation.

I received my medical degree from Stritch School of Medicine at Loyola University Chicago and completed my emergency medicine residency at Regions Hospital. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my 2 children, mountain biking, jogging, and watching Timberwolves games.

Bio
I trained at the University of Minnesota and completed residency at Regions/HealthPartners Institute and am happy to be practicing at HealthPartners. I am currently the medical director at Westfields Hospital (WI) and director of operations for our Valley hospitals. I completed my MBA at UST in 2019. My professional interests include ED operations, access and flow, systemization, standardization, and quality and patient safety. I enjoy seeing patients and delivering great care as well as connecting with patients and their families. I also enjoy teaching residents and students clinically and about operations and quality improvement work.
