GPS supports all basic‑science PhD students and postdoctoral scholars in every department, center, and institute of the Medical School. If you hold any of those trainee roles, you’re part of our community and may access GPS resources and events.

The GPS office delivers: (a) career exploration through seminars and online resources, (b) skill building via one‑on‑one counseling and workshops on résumés, transferable skills, and interview prep, and (c) hands‑on engagement such as grant workshops, peer mentorship programs, and alumni networking. All services are free to Medical School trainees.

Yes—the Peer‑2‑Peer (P2P) Mentoring Program matches first‑ and second‑year PhD students with senior peers for monthly meet‑ups from October to May, plus community‑building events. The GPS office also hosts occasional grant-writing mentorship programs for postdocs to collaborate with faculty on grant proposals.
