Student Counseling Services provided by the University
The University of Minnesota provides student counseling services, with the mission of a university where all students are empowered to reach their personal, academic, and career goals. As such, the Student Counseling Services serve to promote student success by helping with:
Mental health and life concerns
Learning and academic skills challenges
Career uncertainty
Faculty/staff - student communication
Additional the GPS Office can help coordinate access to the University's larger student counseling services, as well as work with graduate programs, faculty mentors and other units to assist you and ensure appropriate mental and health wellbeing. YOU@UMN is a wellbeing portal for University of Minnesota System students offering tools, dynamic content, and resources built to align with on-campus health and wellness programs and resources, available 24/7 and 365 days per year. The tool is divided into three main categories: Succeed—academic success and career preparedness; Thrive—physical and mental health; and Matter—sense of purpose and connection to campus.
Instructions for students: Please sign in with your University email. The first time you log on, please choose campus location and create a confidential profile, choosing personal wellness goals and steps for success. You can then choose what kinds of content to engage with when creating your unique profile to support your own personal wellness goals.
